In 2008 Harttron were selected to undertake the lighting design and planning approval for the floodlighting at the 53500 capacity Semple Stadium.

Being the second largest stadium in Ireland and located within the Town of Thurles required a sympathetic approach to the area whilst providing a pitch lighting to 1500 lux for TV broadcasting. However some compromise was always expected and with great support from the Local Authority the project design was accepted

The lighting Project was completed some 20% under budget and incorporated the use of masts approaching 50m above the pitch. On completion of works Harttron also assisted in the final commissioning process.
